Not quite theater and not quite documentary but an educational and authentic blues

presentation featuring one of High Cotton Music Hall’s sons, Max Simpson and accompanied by

a cast of high level blues musicians, this presentation will take you from the birth of the blues

and seeks to highlight how the blues genre heavily influenced our modern music and culture.

Featuring commentary and song selections carefully chosen to demonstrate how the acoustic

era gave way to the electric era, the presentation will consist of an acoustic set giving way to a

power hour full band electric set. Come get your good MOJO turned up to MAX.
